Educational History:

I graduated from Wichita Southeast High School.  After high school, I attended Wichita State University and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design.  I also earned my BAE in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University.  

Degrees and Certifications:

I am licensed in Early Childhood Education, K-9 Elementary, and Pre-K-12 in Art Education. I am also endorsed in ESOL.

Current Position:

Prior to coming to Andover, I taught preschool, kindergarten, and high school art. I began teaching in Andover in 2008 in 2nd grade at Cottonwood Elementary.  I moved to Prairie Creek in 2009 to teach 1st grade.  In 2014, I had the opportunity to teach Art at Prairie Creek.

Family Information:

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Bruce.  We have three sons Timothy, Jonathan, and Benjamin and our daughter-in-law, Lindsay.  Two precious grandsons have been added to our family this year of whom we are so proud!  Bruce and I  also have two beagles and a boxer mix pup to complete our ever growing family.

Personal Information:

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandbabies. My husband, Bruce, and I enjoy cooking together on the weekends, visiting art museums, cruising and traveling, attending Wichita Music Theatre, and Shocker basketball games. Basketball season can't come soon enough! GO SHOX!
